What exactly is Warmle?

Warmle is comparable to Wordle. By looking at the yellow hints, you can tell if you are within three letters of the correct letter at a given location.

Warmle is a free online game that anyone can play if they like word-guessing games. The popular word-guessing game Wordle inspired this game. Warmle is a word-guessing game in which players have five chances to correctly identify a hidden word, similar to Wordle. Everything begins with a seemingly unrelated hint. Nobody is immune; no one is safe. So, what's the problem? Warmle is now available for purchase!

This is a daily game that can only be played once per day; we tried it and are excited to play it again tomorrow so we can share our results with our friends.
Warmle gives you five chances to guess the word. Everyone starts with the same randomly chosen clue.

Gameplay Guidelines

Your guess consists of the letters:

• The color green denotes that the letter is correct. You keep the letter if you hit (green). There's no need to guess again.
• Yellow if the letter isn't exactly correct but is close! (Within the first three letters of the alphabet).
• If it is more than three letters away from the correct letter, it is shaded grey.

The bottom thermometer serves as a progress indicator. It shows how many words in the dictionary you've ruled out based on the clues so far.
