What exactly is Tradle?

OEC (Observatory of Economic Complexity) is a data visualization platform based on bills of lading for maritime trade. Tradle runs on the OEC domain. Tradle's developer is Simoes, the CTO and co-founder of Datawheel, the team of designers and engineers behind OEC. Simoes is also involved in other data visualization projects. Tradle combines trade statistics and entertainment to make data more interesting.

Gameplay

The treemap aids players in identifying the names of the countries. Your guess, like Wordle, provides a hint. If you guess the wrong country in Tradle, the game will inform you how far you are from the correct answer and in which direction you are. Players are given six guesses to select the correct country, the same as in Wordle and other games that employ it.
