Yeardle
What exactly is Yeardle?
Yeardle, a novel version of the game, forbids participants from using words entirely, instead pushing them to memorize their high school history lectures.
Yeardle gives three historical events to players and challenges them to pinpoint the year in which they occurred. Players have eight chances to get it right, and their incorrect answers, like in Wordle, are reused as color-coded hints. Guesses more than 200 years off appear gray, while guesses 40 to 200 years off seem brown. right answers are shown in green, whereas right guesses are shown in red, orange, and yellow.
Gameplay Guidelines
You'll start with three random historical events from a specific year. The goal is to determine when they all occurred. If you are near a keyboard, you can enter your responses. Use a negative sign (-) before the year to denote BC(E).
You have eight attempts to get it right. Depending on how close you are, the box will light up in a different color. You have complete control over whether you move higher or lower.
Finally, a new Yeardle is automatically posted every day at midnight Central Time.
