Taylordle
Taylordle, which is similar to Wordle but features words associated with the singer, was announced by the Holy Swift podcast hosts on Friday, Jan. 28. Here's how to play Taylordle, a game that gives a whole new meaning to the song "Blank Space."
Wordle is an online word game that is free to play. In six attempts, players must correctly guess a five-letter word. With each attempt, the game uses colored tiles to reveal which letters were entered correctly. (I'll elaborate later.) The game is refreshed every 24 hours.
Taylordle is Swifties' unofficial Wordle. It's similar to Wordle in that it gives players six chances to correctly guess a secret five-letter word using colored tiles, but there's only one new word per day. It differs from Wordle in that the qualifying five-letter words in Taylordle are associated with Swift and her music. "All of the words are part of the Swiftie universe," Holy Swift said in a tweet.
As you do with Wordle. You'll have six chances to guess a five-letter word related to the singer correctly. For example, if you type in "music," you'll know whether any of the letters you used are in the word or not based on whether they are highlighted in green, yellow, or gray.
Green indicates that a letter is in the secret word and is in the correct place. Yellow indicates that the letter is present in the word but in the incorrect location. Finally, gray indicates that the letter is not present in the word at all. While the standard game is difficult enough, some players push themselves even further by using Wordle on hard mode.
When you're finished, you can share your results on Twitter to see how you compare to other Swifties. There's always tomorrow if you don't get the word today. "Shake It Off," as Taylor Swift once said.
